  11. In CA exam it is important to get the Examiner's view point. following are the important tips:

    1. While preparing, PLEASE prepare to pass the exam and not to be an expert in the subject. Students tend to get carried away while preparing for exams. Subjects are vast and there is huge scope to explore. But your focus should be to clear exams.

    2. Keep the examiner's point of view in mind. Any examiner reviews a lot of papers. Your answer MUST be such that the examiner feels good checking your paper. There are some questions that mst of the students will write similarly. Your answer should make the difference.

    3. In each answer, make sure that you mention those hidden points that give you an extra edge. For example... mentioning about Risk in a Capital Budgeting problem.

    4. Planning. Most important is to have a robust plan and even more important is to implement the same.

I am sure you will get the best results...... if you want to.

  12. 1)  Get yourself best text books (one for each subject) as recommended by the ICAI.

    2)  Before you plan your course coverage, you must also have the latest SCANNER so that you can have an idea about the chapters / topics which are a MUST for study. Fully complete those chapters / topics. After completing the chapters try to answer all the previous questions from that chapter, and compare it with the SUGGESTED ANSWERS published by the BOARD OF STUDIES of the ICAI. You will be able to pinpoint your shortcomings in the study if your answers falls short of the standard answers. Thoroughly go through the weak areas and try to overcome it in as short a period as possible.

    3)  Now give attention to the MEDIUM level topics, which have less than 60 % chances of being asked in Exams. Just try to understand the BASIC IDEA behind the concepts / contents. You may also attempt some questions from the text book, to know the weaker areas for further coverage.

    4) After the whole exercise, you may now revise the entire syllabus from the STUDY PAPERS, because it covers all the course contents in abstract form which can be useful before you have started studying in details, and again to recapitulate the course contents once you have finished your syllabus.

    5) In this manner all the papers may be covered. Maths / stats / accountancy / costing may require greater proportion of your time for practice.

    6) Now give yourself a well deserved rest for a week or so, and thereafter, you can solve some additional questions / problems which are of higher standard. This exercise will enable you move ahead, in terms of knowledge. However, this should be done only when you have completed the basic and preliminary things first.

    7) Your study timing should be so planned, that you get at least a good sleep for  5 - hours at a stretch. Do not go for sleep in instalments. Mornings should be devoted to theoretical subjects requiring commiting to memory, like Law, Management, Audit, etc. Afternoon should be best utilised for studying of practical papers, while evening should be given for solving problems and writing-skill development.

Under no circumstances, keep studying beyond 10 PM. Leave the bed latest by 4.30 AM and immediately get into your business of COMMITING TO MEMORY the Sections / Points / Formulas / Case laws etc.

Remember the old adage, EARLY TO BED AND EARLY TO RISE MAKES A MAN HEALTHY, WEALTHY AND WISE.

Hard work, sincerity and honesty of intent and purpose, leaves no stone unturned. Sweat it out now and enjoy it throughout rest of your life,               OR

Rest now and sweat it out for the rest of your life.

    CHOICE IS YOURS.

    Best wishes.

  14. CA means Computer Architecture?

If yes, first you have to remember is this is a theory paper.

You have to be careful while writing the explanations.

From this i am not saying that you can be careless in the flowcharts n figures. The figures are also important. First you study the theory part and imagine that the figure is a working model. Then try to apply the theory in the figure.

By studying this way you cannot forget anything (i.e.) if you forget the theory part, then see the figure, you will surely remember what you have forgot and vice versa.

    Yours

    Vijay
