  1. you question is very complexed ,you had better know which type of visa you need, and the rules of departure and entry to china.the best way for u is to find a china visa service to help you, before that, you can search info on ithttp://www.at0086.com/at_News/270/741255...

  2. May I know what your nationality is?

Due to the Olympics, it is not easier to get longer visas (both duration of each stay and valid period).

You can try to get a longer tourist visa in the Chinese embassy (consulate or visa office) in your country. When you arrivie in China, you yourself can have it extended twice, 30 days for each time. Or you can turn to a visa agent to convert it to a longer F visa (3, 6 or 12 months) when the visa policy is relaxed again. Hopefully in Oct. 2008 it will not be so strict.

As for Residence Permit for work (work visa) and Residence Permit for study (study visa), the application procedure is much more complicated (especially work visa). If you are not employed or don't study in a public university (college), just forget this option.

  3. If you want a Visa first you'll need a reason

    a) Study (X-Visa)

    b) Work (Z-Visa)

There are others, but not that can really help you.

So why are you going there? For what reason?

For the study visa you'll need an invitation letter from a school in China.

For the work visa you'll need one too.

If you're a journalist there's other visas too.

With the study visa you can't work.

Post what you want to go there to do and we can help you more.

Look at the link in my source it's the Chinese Embassy visa information page.

  4. You can either for a student or working visa. Both of them are valid for one year. Both of them also require an invitation letter from a school or business you are panning to work for. Good luck!

  5. Best idea but not the nicest if you dont want to work or study, just accept a job from a school, its easy enough to get one, than you can do the paper work and get your visa, than not show up for work, im pretty sure even if you dont work and the school reports you ( they probly wont, tonnes of people never show up ) than you can still legally stay in the country for a year and come and go as you please.
