How i can merge text with date in Excel?

I am trying to concatenate or merge a cell with a date with a cell with a text in MS Exce 2003. How I do this?

I think this is easy and can be done by typing your question (or keywordsmenuge text with date" in the HELP menu. In this way, you will know.

You have to convert the date to text.  You can't mix types in a single cell.

ok let's say you have today's date is in A1

and you have "Today is..." in B1

in C1 enter

=B1&TEXT(A1, "mm/dd/yy")

result should be

Today is 08/19/08
