  1. You can clean out useless files in your computer by using CCleaner - http://www.ccleaner.com/

You can also use online storage. I recommend XDrive - http://www.xdrive.com/ You get 5 GB for free

  2. Asssuming you're running Windows XP, do this -

Start - All Programs - Accessories - System Tools - Disk Cleanup

Run it & when the list of options comes up, tick all the boxes except Compress Programs.

This will delete some stuff, but doesn't get all the unnecessary files.

Next, click on Start - Run & type in C:\Windows\Temp then click OK.

Delete all the files in here (you may get a msg saying unable to delete some files - this is normal - just delete as much as possible).

The next thing is to delete anything you don't need from your desktop & My Documents folder. If you've got lots of Music, Pictures and Videos, these will fill up your disk more than anything.

Also, open up your email program and delete any unwanted emails (remembering to empty the Deleted Items folder). Many email programs have an option that you then need to run to reclaim the space freed up.

Now go to Control Panel - Add/Remove Programs and uninstall any programs you don't use (such as games that you installed ages ago & never play now).

Lastly, Start - All Programs - Accessories - System Tools - Disk Defragmenter

Run this to re-organise your disk & make all the bits of free space into a nice big chunk.
