  1. You  need to get a train from Trivandrum to Trichy and from there to Nagapatinam by bus would be faster and easier.


  2. although Nagapattinam has a railway station, it is not a major halt for express trains. It is best to take a train to Trichy or Thanjavur, and take a connecting passenger train or bus to Nagapattinam.
