  1. This is not easy , normaly most jobs in the tourist industry go

to Cubans , they have priority. Most foreign hotel chains are a

joint venture with the Cuban state owning 51% .

Your only chance is to apply with a foreign company , not only for the job but for the salary too.  On a Cuban payroll you will earn the same as the Cubans do 15-20cuc (+/- 20$) .Don't try something on your own , it's wasted time . You need a work permit and temporary residence visa too , this can be provided by your (foreign) employer. A good knowledge of Spanish is needed. I know very few people who made it.

  2. Just go there and apply... with the high unemployment in Cuba and so many native Cubans out of work, I can't imagine they wouldn't want to hire you immediately.

  3. Your best bet might be  trying to get job with a tour wholesaler, in Canada, Transat or one of those.  You would of course need at least two or three languages and have had  lots of experience or a college degree in travel & tourism..

  4. Most resorts belong to a chain. Apply to the branch in your homecountry and tell them you are looking for a job in Cuba.

But imagine, it will be very hard, as The Caribbean is the dream-destination of almost every resort employee. You must persuade them that you have some talent that they definitely need. Cuban resort employees work for about 10-20 $ a month...

  5. Santero is correct about contacting the chain of your choice and request a job opportunity.

I personally know one girl who is working as a tour rep in Cayo Coco for an airline/travel group who is not from Cuba.

She knows spanish very well (as you would need)...she lives in Cuba. But just remember, Cuba will hire their own first before they hire others from outside of Cuba...it's very rare...and if you get a job, you will be making the same amount as a Cuban and are required to live according to their laws, etc.

    That's a basic rundown.
