i think looks are quiet important to start off a relationship. there usually has to be some kind of attraction to get people interested.

however, people can become very emotionally attatched to each other, and after this looks arent important at all. ud be surprised how much feelings can make even an ugly person look attractive.

beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder. if a person likes you (because of your conversations, your intelligence, your activities), he/she would find you attractive, however you look. that is why always almost everyone finds someone. two guys may find two girls, but mix them, and they may not like the mixed up matches. that means that whereas one guy liked one girl, he did not like the other girl, whereas the other guy like the other girl and not the first one. if looks were important, both would have liked both the girls. but there were certain characteristics in both the girls which appealed individually to the guys separately.

I think looks are a fairly important part because you would never get to know and be interested in a person if you werent physically attracted to them in the first place, but physical attraction finally plays a small part in the long run.
