How important is ABS?

I think ABS is really important for some reason. Is it really that important?

i don't like abs.  in an emergency situation i trust my own driving skills more than technology.  i know that some people love it, but human logic outweighs technology, abs can't think.  i guess if you are crappy winter driver abs is good, but for those of us who grew up in snowy places, we are used to it and know how to contrrol a skid.  plus what if the abs fails and you've never had to learn to control the car on your own?  then what do you do?

ABS is an extremely important safety feature.  That's one option you should never go without.

Forget the leather seats, fancy stereo and sun roof. Put your money on the safety features like ABS and Traction Control.

Yes, it is very important, almost as important as airbags and seatbelts.

A lot of people trust their own skills over the computer, and so did i in the late 90's when ABS was young, nowadays though, the systems are so good, they can stop better than the best of us, in many circumstances.

sometimes its helpful but it is not a great as they think. I can live with out it

in a panic situation it's life saving.

also look for side curtain air bags and esc.

it makes it easier and safer to stop and control a vehicle when stopping ie. no skidding or tire lock
