  1. It is very important.  Any law that concerns public health is considered serious.  Failure to follow the act can result in fines and closure of the business.


  2. I find it odd that this act doesn't outlaw stuff like high fructose corn syrup, crystalline fructose, sucralose (Splenda), phenylalanine, modified corn & food starches, genetically modified foods, and allowing companies to use plastics w/ recycle #'s 3, 6 & 7 for food!

    You should mention this stuff in your assignment; show how the FDA and other organizations that are suppose to keep us safe and healthy are actually doing the opposite in many cases.

  3. it is very important to follow the food act if it is not followed the public may become sick and seriously ill the public could fine them or the business could even go out of business
