How important is it to take up a minor as a undergraduate?

please tell me if you have taken a minor then how might it have helped you in any way. thanks.

It is not important at all.  My university didn't even allow us to have minors when I went there.

I don't think it is that important.  That being said, my minor (Psych) figured in my getting my first job out of college! -  but I wouldn't have gotten it period without a BA or BS in something.  I think the minor was just icing on the cake.

I got a Special Education minor with my Elementary Education major. It helped get me my 1st teaching job and now I am 1/2 way to my 2nd Master's degree because if I take 7 more classes I will have a 2 different teaching licenses. Looks great on a resume!

At my college you had to choose 1 major and 2 minors.  Having them helped me graduate and nothing more.
