Just clueless about how the results system works. How much is your first year result worth towards your final mark? How much is your second year mark worth? And how much is your final year worth?

more info, just ask?

  1. not at all i dont think. im going into my third year and in my first year they didnt even give me the right marks. they gave me someone elses by mistake. i think first years i like a foundation. 2nd year is like a higher national diploma and third year is the degree with the dissitation and where the marks count the most. might depend what degree your on though. :)

  2. If you figure you go to school for four years. Each year has a weighted average of 25% toward your final GPA

  3. In the US all courses count the same. A 3 credit introductory course you take in the fall of your freshman year counts the same toward your GPA as the 3 credit senior advanced course that you take just before you graduate.  So that means that it is a really good plan to do as well as you possible can from the very start. It is WAY WAY easier to get a decent GPA in your fall freshmen courses and then coast along, than to get bad marks freshman year and have to bring up your GPA by getting high marks in the difficult courses you take later.

Be methodical and business like from the very start and you will be SO glad later that you did things right!

    Good luck

  4. If you're in the U.S., your first year is worth approximately 25%.  Your final GPA is an average of all four years.  Outside the U.S., I wouldn't know.

  5. It's something that different universities and courses have flexibility with, so there is no definitive answer.

Generally your 3rd/final year is worth the most, maybe 40%, and your first two years are of equal value.

It is best to ask your course co-ordinator or director of u/g studies to get an accurate answer.
