In my life, I've noticed that often times a person's name (usually their last name) seems to have a correlation with their success in life and/or the theme of their life.
Here are some examples:
1) Mario Lemieux - In French, the last name means The Best (Le Mieux). And, he certainly was one of the best hockey players to play in the NHL.
2) Bob Hope - An actor and comedian in radio, television, and movies. He was a humanitarian and he also did tours to entertain American military personnel to give them hope.
3) Amelia Earhart (pronounced "AIR-hart") - She was an American aviation pioneer; she had heart or passion about air travel.
4) Tiger Woods - He certainly is like a tiger out on the golf course against his opponents. Also, his last name is synonymous with the wood drivers used for tee shots.
5) Barb Tarbox - She was one of the most well-known anti-smoking activists in Canada. She was a life-long smoker who died of brain and lung cancer.
6) Usain Bolt - Gold medal winner and record holder of the 100m, 200m, and 4x100m races - all set at the 2008 Olympics. He's like a lightening bolt.
7) Donald Trump - Real estate mogul. He trumps all his competitors.
I realize these may be coincidences, but it seems like there's something to it. However, we can't account for people with names that don't have any outright meaning (e.g. - Johnson, Lewis, Smith, etc.).
It makes me think that if I were to have a different last name, then I'd want it to be one like Strong or Moneymaker. Conversely, I would not want a last name like Bastardi
