  1. I was a slacker and I barely could do the bare minimum. Despite me knowing what I ws getting into I just didnt want to train before I had to..

    And yes I made my boot camp alot tougher than it should of been but I made it..

    As long as you want it you will pass unless you are just all messed up..Trust me, if I made it through USMC boot camp then you will make it through your basic.


  2. My lil bro was a chubby drunk, now he's a fit drunk.  He's also a smoker.  He said it was tough, but AIT was much worse.

  3. everyone i know was in great shape. if you are thinking of joining you should atleast be able to perform the minimum of the PT requirements before attending basic, unless you want basic to suck even more

  4. I can tell you this when i joined the army i have never run a mile before in my life.

    when i got to my training unit we did a pt test the frist  day i got there and and i failed on the first event we where told to do aleast  12 push ups i did 5 and the the sit ups we where told to do 10 i did 7 and we had to run 2 miles in like 17:00 i did in like 20:00 but now i can do all that and better without even thinking about it. dont worry your drill Sargent will help you get better TRUST ME ON THAT!!!

  5. I was in decent shape.  I didn't work out but I wasn't overweight.  

    You can do it coming in out of shape.  But it's going to suck a lot for overweight people.  They had it toughest.  Not only do they have to build muscle but they have to lose fat too.
