Question:

How in the world do I get messages UNMODERATED on my yahoogroup. I don't want to moderate any.?

I can't seem to find the handle to turn the darn thing off! It locks me into reviewing everything in order to keep things going. Help!

  1. you must be the group owner to change those preferences.

    you go to account management, and review the moderation options, and the message options.

    select no moderation,


  2. you actually need to go to each member- locate them and below their ID click edit membership- bottom next page Posting Messages:    Override: This member's posts are always moderated (Edit) <-- click edit- next page bottom check not moderated- click save changes

    you can also go to management- under group setting click messages, 3rd column Moderation- check whatever- click save changes-

    HOWEVER those members prior to this change will NOT be affected, you'll have to use the above instructions regardless

  3. Here is how you can do that:

    1. Go to the homepage of your group.

    2. Click Management on the left side of any group page.

    3. Click Messages in the "Group Settings" section.

    4.Click Edit next to "Postings and Archives".

    5.Select the "umoderated" button in the "Moderation" column.

    6. Click Save Changes. Now go on and moderate!
