Um i dont have a dog but i did teach my neighbors Yorkie to lie down, roll over, and oh yeah balance a dog treat or her mini ball on her nose. I taught her to roll over cuz when she chews her mini ball when i play with her she rolls on her side. so i just laid her down and rolled her over with my hands. Then slowly, i rolled her halfway and she got the idea and rolled over the rest of the way. then she started doing it all by herself. Now i have to teach her to lay down without rolling over! lol Shes so smart she wont touch her doggie food until EVERYONE at the table is done. If you put dressing or other people falvors into her bowl shell either l**k the food clean and leave her dog food or suck on it until the flavors gone and then spit it out. shes too smart for her own good sometimes! lmao

My Airedale Terrier is probably smarter than 1/2 the people I know! IF she were human she'd have graduated with honers from MIT. The dog is the most calculating, curious, inquisitive canine I've ever owned. She can do just about anything but open the can for her dogfood!

Pretty cool test! I tested 3 of our dogs. the sheepdog got 24 (he's very clever), his daughter got 17 (she's only a baby - 4.5 months), and the spaniel mix got 17 - dumb blonde. The setter cross was so bad I gave up half way through. She just sat there wagging her tail, bless her moronic little brain.

Funny thing is, not one of them reacted in the slightest to the smile test. And I'm a fairly smiley person. What's that all about?

Although I'm convinced my dog is the smartest dog in the universe, I do think that you can't really say ''intelligent''. Dogs only do what you teach them to do. Apart from that they act because their instincts tell them to...dunno...scratch themselves...

It tickles me when people find these sites.  There are many to test your dogs intelligences & many to test their temperament.  There are even tests you can use on puppies at a fairly young age.

Most people who live in a dogs world 24/7 know about these tests & use them, especially when they are just starting out to breed quality dogs.

This test is dumb. I know my dog is smart. But calling refrigerator? They would be smarter if they DIDN"T come! I would do the test differently. This is not the best IQ test, I wouldn't advise you to do this, you could mess up his/her training doing these too many times!
