  1. Don't worry, you'll survive with that money...

  2. That is very goood (esp. if your single). I say go for it and live to your best!

    Best of luck

  3. i think that if u have a package including yr accommodation and utilities then that is pretty good even after sending  dh 10,000 back to the uk u will still have 16,000 to live on which even tho cost of living has increased since i was there is pretty good.  if u dont drink then that of course will save u a lot of money and u can live fairly cheaply if u shop wisely ie buy local basic products, rice pasta fruit and veg and keep purchase of imported uk items to a minimum as thats what makes yr shopping expensive.     sounds like a very good deal to me and personally i would take it.  once ur estabilshed there u can move to a bigger firm/higher position as u say.    good luck

  4. congrates its v good salery best of luck

  5. its not a bad package... AED 16000 will get you through the month surely (expecially because you dont drink :) ) but yes if you are looking to live in luxury and probably get a CLK or a porsche then you will surely need more...

But one thing you gotta keep in mind that this is a tax free country so what you earn is totally yours at your disposal... i have quite a few freinds who have come down from new castle and are working here and they tell me the life they live here is not half of what they could have done back home... so even if you are sending back 10K to the UK the remaining is yours....

And is this is a freezone company you will not face any visa issue as freezone rules are different... and plus you can always have your terms put down in the contract as you want it....

there is lot of scope here and this place hasa good prospect especially for ladies....

the rest is your choice... best of luck and may you make the right decision.... take care... cheers....

  6. for a UK national 16k is ok and you could certainly survive on it, but I wouldn't say it is as good as some others suggest here.

really depends on what type of work and position you are doing and also if they have included any allowances for housing or car they have included in the package.

Packages can vary quite a bit between companies and various professions, so it pays to look at all your options.  Especially since once you accept a job in the UAE, it is not always easy to change employers due to visa regulations.

great that they give you a furniture allowance but make sure they will pay your rent too! rents are paid a year in advance here, so that would be difficult to manage if you also have to send money home.

  7. DONT WORRY 16000AED A GOOD PACKAGE,WISH U ALL THE BEST.GOOD LUCK N BE HONEST.

  8. don`t worry it`s so good

  9. It's really amazing that no one mentioend accomodation!

That's the real nightmare in Dubai, if you want to live a decent distance form your work in Dubai, you will have to pay a minimum of 100k annually for a studio (1BR if you're very lucky). You will find cheaper studios, but at the expens eof spending more time commuting to work and virtually sitting in your car with nothing to do while stuck in Dubai's horrible traffic. So, you better budget for at least 100k for accomodfation, unless you find someone who will share with you. Then you'll pay like 60k per year for a room in a flat.

    Everything after that is manageable...

  10. Thats very very very high. I'm an Engineer but they only offered me 5,500 AED a month.
