we're having quite a lot of problems, most of which would have been completely unforeseeable during WWII...  yet there's one thing to be said: however we're doing, it's better than how the 2nd worldwar loser is doing.

Again, I have to ask, why is this in horse racing? It has nothing to do with horses or the sport. The Allies ( the US, the British, the Russians, the Free French, and all of the other countries associated with them) won World War II. It's as well that they did, because I doubt that most of us would have wanted to live in a world controlled by the n***s and the Japanese.
