How is 8th grade?

i am going into 8th grade and I have been homeschooling and I want to know how it was. thanks.

umm pretty stupid.all the girls you thought were christians and everything become s***s and everything.just find some friends and stay out of the spotlight.easiest way.

Well, 8th grade was rough.  Hormones are running amok, homework is heavier so stress loads are higher, and honestly, 13 just isn't an easy age.  Put a bunch of 13yo's in a building together, several hours a day, for the better part of a year...yeah.

Sorry...hopefully your 8th grade year will be better than mine was :)

i am really sorry to break it to you but for me it was terrible. i had a few good friends though which helped. all of junior high is horrible. high school is way better!

If you have always been homeschooled, then you will probably be really shy and the lockers will probably confuse you at first.   Calm down and  make some friends and you will be fine.

It will either be wow why did I home school or difficulty in being in a regimental learning environment. Think positive and give it time, it is entering a social group where peer pressure, sexual relationships, culture differences will probably have you confused, but the positive is that many are coming into this grade with the same issues. Be polite, but hold back on your personal life until you are sure that the people you mix with are not just a passing thing. No-one needs to know you come from homeschooling straight of. One really good idea is to contact a homeschooling group and ask them advice on what to expect and how to handle it.

Once you settle in you will find it becomes a normal part of your life.

8th Grade was almost my worst year. Really horrible academic wise. But really good social wise.

This is the year your faith will be tested the most. Peer pressure and hormones are the two worst aspects of your first teen. You will also see who your real "friends" are. You'll be in our prayers tonight and for the upcoming year.
