Heres my theory, America and Rome have some similarities, to deny that would be idiotic.

Just before the Roman Empire ended they created the Roman Catholic Church which partially ruled Europe with a system of Feudalism with the King and the Church being on the top of the chain.

If we apply this concept to the American Empire in the future when America collapses it could possibly look like this.

Christ was created.

Anti-Christ will be created.

After the 'Anti-Christ' does whatever it is he will do, America will start to collapse later on. Foreign Countries that are destroyed or economic devistated will take what is theirs and America will create its version of the Catholic Church, Called VCHIP banking.

VCHIP banking will be manditory in all Americanized countries to prevent theifts and revolts that will occur after the Anti-Christ`s destruction.

Governments will have military control. But Bankers will own the people and towns.

1000 years ago this was the system, but with churche

  1. Too many people have investments in USA for it to collapse.. it will be hard hit again because they never learn the first time.

The history of USA is war.

  2. The above poster is correct about our economic outlook for the US -- it doesn't look too "good" at all...  However, there is a lot more to discuss about the collapse of the American Empire.  First of all, America has just hit its Golden Age with the rise of the computer, the internet, and global communication & travel.  We will have some years to go, possibly many decades or even centuries of technological breakthroughs before America truly implodes.  I'm not too sure if America can avoid it, but we'll see...

My point is, America is not finished with its Golden Age (which most empires have right before they collapse).  There is going to be a New Enlightenment coming within this century when cognitive sciences and linguistics create new education programs for the US youth.  After that happens, children are going to be geniuses by modern-standards.  It's already happen if you are watching things closely.  This is going to create the gist of our already-occurring Golden Age.  After that ends, then the American economy and military superpower will probably collapse.

What will happen is the rise of the Antrichrist (like you stated) as per my own predictions and theories.  This Antichrist is going to basically kill off much of Christianity and new world religions are going to rise out of it, most likely Scientology or another variant New Age religion.  The most important thing that will happen in this Golden Age is that the poor and middle class is going to revolt against the rich & wealth (somehow) to redistribute the wealth disparity between the haves and have-nots.  Though, I'm not sure how successful this revolution is going to be.  It may also be led by the Anticrhist himself.  I'm not certain about this...

Anyway, I hope this all helps.  The American Empire is in its Golden Age right now and it has some time to go through it before our inevitable collapse (but it will happen almost guaranteed).  Power cycles and the American Republic already died off in the 20th century, so chances are high that the days of the American Empire are limited.

  3. you've got a very nice theory. but it's still a part of uncertainty - how will america collapse.

  4. Sounds like you're a believer in the "mandatory ID" apocalypse, version 666.  ;-)  With all due respect though, it's more mythology than reality.  We've already had mandatory ID numbers now for many decades--it's called, perhaps inappropriately, Social Security.  Think about how many things in your life you need a SSN for:  school, applying for a job, credit card, bank account, mortgage or other loan, any gov't benefit, paying your taxes, etc.  As far as I know though no anti-Christ has yet appeared, unless you count d**k Cheney.

If you want a realistic account of America's collapse, you need to stick with facts and ditch the religious hand-waving.  Your comparison to Rome was spot on, though.  Rome collapsed for several reasons--it was not a single cause.  Rome had over-extended itself militarily, spreading its troops too thinly.  It had a military presence nearly everywhere, but that presence was too diluted to repel a real invasion.  Furthermore, Rome's empire expansions cost it terribly, with taxes rising to ruinous levels.

By comparison, America also has troops stationed nearly everywhere.  I recall reading from a couple sources that we have troops stationed in over 130 countries, more than half in the world.  While I'm not too concerned with being invaded, our military budget is #1 in the world--and as big as numbers 2 thru 9, _combined_.

If America collapses, it will almost certainly be an economic collapse.  In addition to our horrendous military expenditures, gov't programs like Social Security and Medicare/aid are going to balloon like h**l in the coming decades.  We're also just managing to pay the interest on the national debt, which itself is growing constantly.  At this point in time, the US has over $60 *Trillion* in future mandatory costs--bills that we will have to pay.  This includes SS, Medicare/aid, defense, and national debt interest.  It does NOT include any new gov't programs, or expansions to current ones, which will almost certainly arise.  By comparison, our entire national economy (GDP) is about $14 trillion.

Probably around the middle of this century, rising energy costs combined with ballooning gov't costs will likely force the US gov't into bankruptcy, and it will likely drag the rest of the economy along with it.  It will be an economic implosion a la when the USSR collapsed.  Other, more socialist countries with higher gov't costs may well collapse first.

In the end I think we'll pull through it alright, though civilization will be greatly affected in the process and it certainly won't be painless.  Maybe the best thing that could happen would be that mankind finally learns its lesson about the cancer that is gov't, though on that point I'm not so optimistic.

  5. i actually had this debate in my early world history class and it was like this i dissagree not saying its dumb it makes sense definitily..but heres what i think

Not everyone will go to Anti-Christ there's no way America is too diverse not everyone even believes in christ thats a difference we arent as primitive as rome was theres another difference we have more advanced things we are starting economic problems but this whole anti christ thing idk it's relli iffy this wont happen again for reasons of big companies controlling the govt

yes gas companies and banks stuf like that CONTROL the government HOW u ask they lend the govenrment workers money then they "owe the company One or ten" lol thats how it is govt will never have complete control that's what i think
