How is Carson, California?

Question

I'd like to hear how it is from people that have been there. Is it nice and safe? Pretty? Middle-class?

People just assume it's a bad place cuz its like 15 min away from Compton, but since they've never been there I don't trust their opinion.

Carson, as with most cities have bad areas and good areas.  I lived there several years ago and would not move back there.  But there are nice areas.  Just do some research before you commit yourself.

It's still there, that's safe to say.  Pretty, no.  Middle-class, yes.  Nice, um, you judge.  Safe, um, what is?

I would not compare it with Compton.  LA is so big and varied that those kinds of comparisons would be meaningless.

So for me the bottom line is that Carson is: OK.

I Live In Los Angeles And I've Been To Carson Once Before For A Festival. It Gets Pretty Packed Around There Depending On Where You Live Because Of The Home Depot Center There But Other Wise The Houses Seemed Pretty Nice And Things Where Fairly Close By.

Carson is okay! Nice and safe? Probably not so much. Carson is like any other city, it has it's bad areas and nice areas. But overall compared to other local cities, it's okay. I lived near Carson in San Pedro for 5 years so, so I've been to Carson many times. If you're looking to move in that area, I'd go to Torrance or Lakewood, those places are a little bit nicer than Carson.
