How is Christmas celebrated in Enniscorthy, County Wexford, Ireland besides going to church. What are the family traditions?

  1. Basically, to all parts of Ireland, Christmas is celebrated with a christmas dinner. This is usually served at 3.pm though. You have a roast turkey, roast potatoes, carrots, brussel sprouts, broccoli, mixed veg. etc and then for dessert, mince pies/christmas pudding with brandy butter/everyday dessert. Presents are generally opened in the morning and most of the time, especially in wexford down the country, we go to christmas mass. I'm from dublin myself but this is generally the Irish Christmas schedule. There may be an event in the town, maybe google "Enniscorthy christmas co.wexford" and see what pops up. Also, a lot of families go to midnight mass on christmas eve night too. Hope I helped! :-)

    and the day after Chirstmas is big in Ireland (St. Stephen's Day / Boxing Day...).  It's just a big celebration over a few days that often gets referred to as "Crimbo"
