I have read that the best months to visit Costa Rica are December-April. We are getting married next October and are thinking of Costa Rica for a honeymoon. Thanks for any input or suggestions!!

  1. Is really good ,it will be dry and cool, because November - December are the coolest months in the year, is our "winter" time (We dont have any winter just wet and dry season) it will be really good to do a lot of things, like volcanos ( you can have a good view of Arenal Volcano if you go there) , canopy , beaches.

It will be hard to do anything from May to November, just watch the rain  :) ,Not much fun!!

  2. It might be cool, but definitely not dry.  On average, October is the second rainiest month of the year getting 11.81 inches of rain.  Only September gets more on average, 12.1 inches of rain.  The driest months by far are January, February and March with almost no rain.

You can expect warm and sunny mornings and a lot of rain toward the early afternoon.  Of course, this is just the averages.  You might get a couple of days with no rain at all, and you are just as likely to get two or three days of rain, and I mean rain!  If you are coming in October, bring your raincoat.  Hey!  But you can always work on your tan in the mornings.  I got a great tan today just walking in San Jose from around 9 am to 11 am.
