,..serving, praising, and worshipping God for all eternity? If you're serving, praising, and worshipping someone or something, you're doing a job, fulfilling a duty, you're not playing around enjoying yourself, you're not enjoying that giant trampoline, you're not playing your favorite game, you're not making out with your spouse, you're not freely doing the things you love however you freely want to, when you're serving, worshipping, and praising, you're doing something that's required, it's like, it you don't serve, praise, and worship God in Heaven and just want to go and enjoy that 30 foot wide trampline instead in your mansion, you're neglecting your duties and he may just cast you out of Heaven and down into h**l over something that tiny! So, in Heaven, you are REQUIRED to serve, praise, and worship, OR ELSE, so in Heaven, you live under the constant threat of h**l if you refuse.

SO, HOW IS THAT PARADISE!?!?!!!?!?

  1. I don't believe in heaven, but I'll try to take a stab at this one. The Bible doesn't really elaborate on what heaven will be like. Most theologians believe that heaven is just a place that overflows with god's love and bliss, and that alone keeps you happy for eternity. I guess.

  2. You're thinking only in material posessions, just having a bunch of c**p isn't going to bring you happiness. It's the spiritual freedom from suffering, and pain.

That's not exactly the Christian view of it, more buddhist, but i'd imagine it's the same concept. Of freedom from worldly possessions and desires.

(Assuming you're Christian) If an eternity of peace and being with that christian God feels like such a rip-off to you, then you may want to reconsider your religious beliefs.

  3. Hmmm, let's see: No sin, evil, death, disease, poverty, sorrow, etc. Gee, I don't know, sounds just like Earth doesn't it? Not!

  4. You ask this because you view all things from a materialist point of view, as we live on earth.

Contentment need not include anything material.

But we have been programed to believe that without material things we can not be happy.

Any life after death would a blessing beyond any blessing one got on earth or that is, in this life.

  5. You're carnally minded. Heaven is going to be free of that type of thinking. It will be a pleasure. People will still work but it won't be a dread like it is now.

  6. A person who comes in to heaven will be body and soul.  Both the body and soul have their own needs which need to be fulfilled, and in heaven they will be.  Worshipping God is not only bowing and praying to Him.  As long as your intention of doing something is to please Him and it conforms with His regulations, even if it's having s*x with your wife, playing football, or anything other than praying or praising Him, then that is still considered as worship!

  7. I don't know. I was never taught that Heaven would be like that. I'm not sure what all we'll be doing, but earthly hobbies probably won't apply, and I don't think there are marriages in Heaven. I certainly hope I don't get stuck with my first wife for ever...or would I get both of them? And, how would they get along? Also, my first wife has had two other husbands, so would they also be included in this increasingly disastrous family? Because I know we wouldn't get along. I've gone off on a tangent. I'm just going to push the button now.

  8. You will not be "serving, praising, and worshipping God" in heaven. That only happens (or should) on earth.

  9. You know if you truly know who GOD is and how much He loves you i believe you will not view heaven the way you described it.In heaven you are not going to serve anymore but just enjoy being with your Creator just worshiping Him in His presence. In the first place that is why Jesus came to display how much God loves you and me by giving us a chance to go back to the presence of GOD again, to have freedom in communing with Him.May i ask if you have experienced true worship of GOD?meaning worshiping Him in spirit and in truth? cause if not, then you will not understand that when we worship Him,we are not performing a service to Him but it is our privilege to worship the God who created us all.God bless you.

  10. It's not.  Also, think about this, ALL OF ETERNITY with some of the people on this forum, and people just like them.  I'll take h**l...
