  1. I am not from venezuela nor venezuelan. But i know about Fiesta.

In provinces of the Philippines we celebrate Fiesta. And it is a big celebration. The Families and relatives from far far places will went back home just to spend and celebrate Fiesta rather than Christmas. That is how important for them.

All the people in town cook more variety of food, more drinks and it is free. People from other town will come and visit to the fiesta just to eat and celebrate for free. You are invited even they dont know you, still you are welcome. Much fun coz they have disco, meeting friends from other towns and making friends from far away places. And they also have coronation night who is Ms. and Mr. (name of the town) 2008.

When this it happen? Well it happens when the name of your church saint's day. Example the church in your town named "San Pedro Cathedral Chruch" which on english name is "St. Peter" Every year there is St. Peter Day, that's the day they celebrate the fiesta. But we celebrate it 3 days. The day before fiesta, fiesta day and after fiesta day.

In Venezuela, the celebrations in honor of Saint John the Baptist have singular importance from the colonial time to the present, mainly in those Afro-Venezuelan populations. The pueblos around Caracas go wild to the beat of an African drum with exuberant dancing,  The feast runs through June and includes erotic rites, purification rituals and divination.
