i am from bihar and we saw his misrule that made our state a begger but as far as his work as rail minister is concern, he is doing aprreciable work and this rail budget is certainly very much immpressive. i give him 10/10 . his previous budgets were also peoples friendly .i am surprised why he didnt do same for state?

this years rail budget is a good news for all indians.With a decrease in fares and with newer trains with latest facilities coming in its good to see the work done by LALU JI.

tfirst of all i don't like lalu, because i am from karnataka, this fellow is not giving jobs for kannada people, he is purely a corrupted politician, i hate lalu and to the rating 0/10

Well... I would rate 5/10. Budget is trendy...Passenger fare has not been increased but what about luggage and parcel we book ?. Last time he has increased it abnormally. We are paying just double what we use to. We pay Rs. 2x instead of Rs.x. How would he justify ? New trains have been introduced on different routes, but what happened of its timing ? It never reaches it's destination on time. Every second is valuable for everybody. If we waist our time how can he be in profit ? 5 points goes to the present CM (Bihar) who had initiated for train security system based on (GPS). In fact he has made path for him to walk on. If railway minister has done all this then why he did'nt do anything for Bihar in the past 20 Years ?

I'll give him 7/10.....I don't know much about the railway budget,but certain things like reduction in train fare is marginal and another thing which i noticed was the Monthly ticket from College to home for girls upto graduation....Looks good until you see that the scheme is just applicable for the second class....lol,will any girl travel in second class compartments?

And,the infrastructure is still the same...The trains still on tracks more than 100 years old....No effective safety norms in use,the trains still don't run on time.......The so called e ticket can only be booked as tatkal.....

We appreciate Lalu because he made railways a profit making organisation,but tell me,isn't public good the first aim of Indian railways??Moreover,as my dad told me,the figures are never gonna be accurate.....all mixed up....

But Lalu deserves to be appreciated for changing railways a bit......Lalu took the initiative,a thing which nobody has done in the past.......and we appreciate this a lot!Well done!But still loads to do.

3/10.  If you ask for points for the cleverest and trickiest budget then 10/10.  You see there are a lot of hidden costs and most of the fare cuts are only on paper.  For instance the sleepere fair cut is for 81 berth coaches.  Right now there are no such coaches.  It will take at least 3 years for such coaches to be put to use.
