I am going through Malpensa this sunday. I should stay there for about 12 hours. I wonder if I can find a good place to rest. Also, is there any place for my kid to play? if yes, Is it inside transit area?

  1. Malpensa is the new Milan airport, build a few years ago, maybe is not the bigger in the world, but this is not a defect  I think, It's much more clean than a lot of other airports where I have been, and only an idiot can miss the signs, or someone who can't read at all.

Especially the transit area is comfortable, no more ad not less than any other international airport.

(The one who say that is dirty was probably talking about is home, sorry but I can't accept ppl who talk like that, especially when they don't give any name, are them ashamed about it? My personal experience says that usually who talk like that is used to live in a really dirty place)

No places  where children could play, at least not till last September when I flow from there.

  2. Its nice. I went through it on my way to Rome las t Christmas.

As with every wirport, there are lounges you can settle in. And I liked it. lots to look at, and very busy too, Anyhow, you have to keep your eyes on your kids at WHATEVER airport.

12 Hours?! Wow! Take their toys!

  3. Airport is quite big with some louges to rest. There are also few hotels and a kindergarden. However you will stay inside airport because it is far from Milan city.

  4. If you're sleeping overnight go to Terminal Two.  It's a bit noisier but a lot safer because there are more people (the cheap charter flights leave in the early morning from that terminal).  If you're there in the day then you've got plenty of time to take the shuttle bus (EUR 5) to Milano Centrale station and then the subway to the city center (Duomo).  Most of the shops will be closed but the Duomo will be open, you'll be able to peek in Galleria Vittorio Emanuele and you could probably go to Castle Sforzeco too.

The trip from Malpensa to Milano Centrale takes about 75 minutes by bus.  The busses leave every fiften minutes.  Traffic isn't terrible on Sunday so you shouldn't have any troubles getting there or back.

  5. Its small and easy to get around. But Its dirty and the signs there are hard to read if they even have any.

sorry there is no where for your kids to play. no day care.
