Question:

How is Mixed-Martial Arts (MMA) school like?

Are the people there kind and supportive to shy students? Or are the people there total douchebags to whoever they don't like or can relate to?

I'm thinking about enrolling into a MMA school, but I don't know how I'll fit in.

  1. Don't! MMA isn't what all it's made out to be. Take a real martial art.

  2. the MMA gym I go to is nothing but supportive guys. There is no animosity whatsoever

  3. well it all depends what school you go to. at my school everyones nice, except for this one *** who thinks hes the **** lol. the trainers there are patient with you the first couple of weeks, and try to talk to you to get to know you.

  4. you make some pretty good friends when you start beating the c**p out of each other.

  5. It depends really. In my gym they welcomed me very kindly. They shook my hands, asked name, the usual for meeting someone new.

  6. Depends, if you're going to a legitimate gym or a weak school. Depending on how serious you take it will factor into how much respect you get. If you just start fighting, and you start decking yourself out in TapouT gear, and claiming yourself a Cage Fighter, you're probably going to get your *** beat.
