How is Montego Bay?

Question

I'm going to be spending a week in Montego Bay in June of this summer. I've heard its a lot of fun and that there are plenty of activities. The only thing I can't seem to find any info on is the sea life. I know Australia has dangerous jelly fish that can sting and kill tourists. Does any one know of a good website or have any info off hand about any types of hazards in montego bay? We're staying at a resort with private beach access.
