  1. switch up his water bottles, he will spend all day trying to find them.

  2. well on the hardcourts he can be beaten if someone keeps 80% of the balls very flat and heavy and takes alot of them to his forehand... rushing nadals heavy topspins.....  and if alot of players hit very fast hard first serves at him... and rush into net..

however nadal is learning more and more how to neutralize such players.. it will become less and less his loses on hardcourt...as well nadal is going into net more... people look out now!

  3. He gets beaten on hard court

  4. Nadal is beatable, more so on a hard, fast court. You have to move him around with fast-paced balls and come in to put pressure on him.

Nadal's game has gotten better on the hardcourts so it's not going to be as easy as it used to be.

  5. Right now he's completely UNBEATABLE!!!!!!!!

    Vamos Rafa!! xx

  6. Nadal is having an outstanding year and had a very easy draw and finals in Toronto. He never had to play any hard court guys like Federer, Roddick, or Djokovic to win there. Nadal should get beaten his fair share once the hard court season gets underway and these guys get out of their slump. Roddick beat Nadal in Dubai, and Federer beat Nadal the last two master cups. Tsonga beat Nadal in the aussie open, Davydenko beat Nadal in miami, and I forgot who beat Nadal in indian wells. But anyway he loses his fair share on hard court.

  7. Lots of hard first serves, hitting flat and deep and playing at a fast pace. These days, you also need to be mentally rock solid (like him). You must be willing to play the distance (4-5 hours). If you are a good server, try to take the set into a tie-break where you have lot more chances for a mini-break or two. I believe if the fifth set was a tie-break format in Wimbledon (like US Open), Federer would have won it. I was glad it wasn't as I was rooting for Nadal!

Nadal is on a 29 game winning streak, spanning 3 surfaces, 2 majors and 2 masters series tourneys. It's going to get tougher to beat him as he gets into his prime years (23-26). Think tie-break, serve lights out and be prepared to play a physically and mentally bruising match for 3-4 hours (football style).

  8. RIGHT NOW, HE CAN'T! enough said! just ask federer!!

  9. same question about Federer in 2007.

soon other players will figure out. history repeats itself.

  10. simple roger federeer

  11. Hello!  I think Nadal's only weakness is that he puts a lot of topspin on his shots and in order to do so he must have a very big swing motion.  Swinging big takes more time than just hitting the ball.  Also, topspin shots of course bounce very high and drop rapidly, and if someone could return his shots early then that means Nadal does not have much time to react.  If a player could hit a lot of cord balls, bouncing off the net, then that could significantly wear down Nadal's stamina.  When Nadal plays he always stand way back, like three feet behind the baseline, and is someone could hit the ball short and put spin on it then it would be tremendously hard for Nadal to return such shots.  Here is a list of shots that I think Nadal is vulnerable to:

1.Hitting the ball short when Nadal is standing way back.  (add a lot of back spin and side spin)

2.Return Nadal's shots on the rise.

3.Hitting the ball toward Nadal's feet when he's standing on the baseline.

4.Hitting super top spin shots to Nadal's back hand.  In order for Nadal to return it he must wait until the ball comes down or take it on the rise.  At this time come to the net.

5.Hit powerful serves to Nadal's backhand.

  12. smash winners at him on a fast surface

  13. As good as he is playing, and as much as I love the guy, he could be beaten, as with anyone on any given day, especially on a hard court. I feel he is going to make a quicker exit at The Open then predicted and my reason is this. Despite a strong field at The Rogers Cup, and a big server in Murray, thats whats going to hurt Nadal when all the big guys are out there in a few weeks. ON a hard court, though he has improved HIS serve, to return is much harder. Many players have huge serves, and I think he is going to come up against a couple early. Also on a hard court he has to work even harder, and even though he is well conditioned, it does wear you down on this surface. His defense is always superb, and has a knack of staying in the point, and forcing his opponents errors, but for 7 matches, and most likely some 5 setters, I think it will get to him. he cant produce as many winners as on clay and grass,  and  keeping the point going can only get you so far. I would love to see him do very well, even win The Open, but have a feeling in 4th round or quarters, he will lose. Of course I am hoping I am wrong.

  14. Nadal is only beatable when hes injured or on a court that puts more pressure on his legs like hard courts. He can also be beaten if his opponent speeds the game up. He likes to slow the game down. But right now he is pretty much unbeatable. Hes on a streak and hes playing his best tennis and Federer is no longer a problem.

  15. Djokovic can teach him a lesson or two!!
