  1. We can party with friends at home, having a great dinner and at midnight we wish "Bonne Année" to everyone. Or we go to parties where we pay for the food and the music. And in big cities such as Paris or Lyon, we go out in the streets, gather on the main squares and wait for midnight to come. In Paris, people are everywhere, the main point is "le champs de Mars" by the Eiffel Tower, people come with bottles of Champagne and celebrate. The Eiffel tower gets enlighted, even more than usual, with lights of different colours. The firework don't come directly from the Eiffel tower but from the champs de mars and cause an effect. It's true that it looks like it comes from the Eiffel tower though.
