  1. Patience - he plots for ten years to defeat Troy, he sits silently in the Trojan Horse, He journeys for ten years to get home after the War.  He develops a plan to kill the suitors as opposed to just showing up at home out of the blue.

    Compassionate - His sorrow and weeping when the  Phaecians retell the tale of Troy, sadness at the death of his dog, Argos, his regret at the death of Ajax (his speaking to the various dead on his visit to the Underworld), His tenderness and love for his wife, Penelope.
