  1. PCP (known as Sernylan) is used as a dissociative anesthetic for procedures and operations.  It has largely been replaced by Ketamine which was developed by Parke-Davis when PCP proved to have too many neuropsychiatric side effects for human use.  Ketamine is a chemical relative of PCP and, quite honestly, is not that much difference.  My grandmother had it for surgery years back, and upon awakening experienced a full-blown delirium with hallucinations and delusions.
