How is PS3 Online Gaming?

How fun is it? What is it like? Do lots of people go online?

i have played on-line and all i could tell is that it was terrible ...there is barely anyone playing ...if you are looking for an on-line gaming experience... i recommend xbox live , which is on the xbox 360 and is rated # 1 for on-line gaming for next-gen consoles.

OK, now you changed it to PS3, it used to be PS2. Very fun, it is very organized and free. You get trophies and stuff and can send messages and have a friends list and all that stuff. Also this year they will be introducing Life With PlayStation, which you will be able to watch news on like the wii's news channel, and it will also allow you to upload gameplay footage directly on to youtube. And yes, there are lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots of people online.

I guess it really depends on the game your playing. Burnout Paradise is really good online & the transition from single to multiplayer is seamless. I see lots of people playing that. Also GTAIV, Guitar Hero 3 & MGS4 have alot of people playing. All games (except Guitar Hero) are that little bit better with a headset.
