  1. Well I have a 928s I get out of the garage once in a while.  They are not the most dependable car and the engine block has a tendency to crack if you floor it all the time.  The parts are truly way to expensive. I bought a simple special size bolt once for 35 bucks.... Thats to much BOB.

  2. Good car for its day.

  3. Very good. Fast. It is a German Muscle car.

  4. The 928 is a wonderful GT (Grand Touring) car, and throughout its life span, was one of the most technicaly advanced cars of all time. The Porsche v8 for the time period they were made produced tremendous power, and with the Mercedes designed automatic transmission, they were a about the best performance-luxury car you could buy. The down side to them is maintence is very expensive and the early ones are notorious for electrical problems. First introduced in 1976, they were the first Porsche that had a water cooled engine. (the 924 was also water cooled, and came out in 76 but was a 77 model.) The 928 is now a very affordable car, usually selling for around the price or less than a similar year Corvette. The earlier ones, usually "rode hard and put up wet" can be bought for the same amount as a Camaro, but, will cost a lot more to get parts for, and keep running. Of all the water cooled "earlier" Porsches,(928,924,944,968), since they are now all water cooled, as far as reliability and inexpensive maintenance costs, the 944/968 models are the best "bang for the buck".
