How is Surat, India? ?

I'm thinking about going on a vacation to Surat, India. I want to know if it's a good place to go, or if I should just go to somewhere more... mainstream? You know, like Bangladesh or something.

It's considered to be a very clean place in India, or relativity clean. It's known for the diamond business.
