How is The City in Cancun?

smoggy/hot/dirty/touristy - I have just used it to fly to and then leave ASAP.

But to be fair I have only been there 2 days in total so did not see much of it but this was my general opinion.

Lovely.  Very touristy though.  Great for snorkeling if you like that sort of thing.  The underwater sea life is beautiful!!

They have a strip with clubs and that part is really nice If you go farther past all the hotels and resorts its gross!  We had to go to wal mart while we were there and i would not recommend that!

"The City" nightclub is great. i went there on boys holidays 2 years on the trot.  The city is pretty new (opened 2004 i think) compared to some of the others. plays good dance music as well as older and bit of rnb, cheese etc.  But thats the same with the majority of clubs in cancun.  Tiesto, along with other massive dj's have all played there over the years.  It s1 of the more popular clubs there and is pretty big inside, with a raised circular dancefloor in the middle.

also advise to check out coco bongos, and also G- Spot (one of the best clubs ever been 2 - water coming from everywhere and its out on the lagoon)

They have a lot of night clubs all of which are fun they start late at night and go till early morning so get your rest. there is senor frogs carlos and charlies par obriens margaritiville the g spot wet ETC. your resort will probly have a bar crawl where you pay so much and they take you to all of them by bus.

The city of Cancun is nothing to see.  This is the place where local people live.  Maybe you mean Cancun tourist area by Paseo Kukulkan.

That area is great, lots of malls, stores, discos, restaurants and bars.  That is lots of night life.

well, the resorts are nice but once you go off the resort and head into the city its gets a little dumpy.. the bay side stinks really bad. There is a beautiful upscale mall down the main stretch in the hotel district, but if you head to the market square be prepared to be approached by little children looking to make a buck.

we usually stay on the resort. the hotel people will tell you not to venture too far off. THe night clubs are great at night!
