How is The Faerie Queene?

I'd like to start reading it. I've already read Paradise Lost, and found it very entertaining and, while time consuming and requiring focus, not TOO difficult to read.

It's either this or the Aenid. (I think the former sounds much more interesting.)

  1. wow thats wierd my dad is a Dan F. well anyway my cousin is a huge fan and has read it and continues to. for me...its....a little bit....and i don't mean to be offensive at all....but for my taste it's a little bit "geeky" or maybe shakespearean.

but don't let my opinion make you not want to read it. i'm sure it's a really great book to many people.

  2. I have actually never read all of the Faerie Queene. I've read parts of it and I remember it is worth the time.

Paradise Lost is a favorite of mine. I might also suggest Paradise Regained as well.

And also try The Divine Comedy by Dante. It's 3 volumes: Inferno, Purgatory and Paradise.

    Have Fun.
