How is Venice, Italy in May? As crowned as in Summer?

Funny you should ask,  I just watched a video on Venice and apparantly May thru September are their busiest times for tourists.  But what a beautiful , romantic city.  One thing I did learn,  was that the best way to see Venice and their beautiful architecture is by Gondolier.  Happy trails.

Venice is a wonderful city, and yes, it will be a bit crowded in May. The earlier you travel the better it will be for avoiding crowds. I have been there many times and have never  been on one of the boat rides. Walking (with a map so you don't get lost!) is a wonderful way to see the city! Remember that all luggage must be carried by hand into the city, so don't pack too heavily....there are steps to walk up with the luggage! Have a ball!

May will be crowded and the weekends will be packed. Book early and be prepared to stand in line for just about everything.
