How is Virgina as a state to live in? I'm planning and moving in about a year,

I live in Michigan. Highest unemployment rate in the United States. Boring, worse public transportation system.

So I'm going to Aveda beautiful cosmetology school. I was wondering how Virgina is? How's the economy, safety, and culture their.

I'm also an Indian, Muslim girl are there alot of desis living in Virginia?

Northern VA is great.  South Eastern VA is the hood.  If you are up near DC you will love everything about it.  If you are in the Hampton Roads area of VA you will hate it.  This is an all military town with nothing but military, military contractors and ship yards.  I have lived in the Hampton Roads area for 6 years with the Navy and the best city is Williamsburg, the rest are for the birds.  The economy is one of the few good ones in the US thanks to the military and government in general but too many hood rats on welfare still.  Hampton Roads also has three times the national average for homicides and other bad crimes.  Virginia over all is a pretty nice looking state with tons of trees and things but it is all about the area you live in that makes the difference.  Not sure how being Indian and Muslim may fly.  You will be a minority for sure but so are white people if that helps you any.  Look up the city you are going to specifically and request all the free info they can send you from their department of tourism and other links.  That will help you see what there is to do.  Do the same thing for the Commonwealth of VA.  VA is not a state but a Commonwealth.  VA is an awesome place for things to do if you love history though.  Good luck.
