Question:

How is a Lotus Elise?

I have not seen or heard of many Lotus Elise cars in the US but I know there are some. How long do they last? Is it a smooth ride, and are they worth the money, although they seem cheap for a sporty car like that. I am looking to get a used one so how does $35k sound for a 2005 convertible one with 10k miles on it?

  1. check this site htey have plenty of test drive videos

    hope it helps

  2. loud, handling is good, ride is firm, head-turning quotient is high...

35000 for a 2005 with 10k, is average to good...

check it over carefully to make sure the previous owner didn't run the c**p out of it......

  3. They have Toyota engines in them(IIRC) so they should be pretty reliable. They are definately NOT smooth cars. They are meant to be weekend track cars NOT daily drivers. If you want a comfortable but quick car for $35K look at a 05 or so Cadillac XLR or a used Corvette.

  4. Get a newer one with the Toyota engine and transmission. It's the better version.

  5. They have a high pitch exhaust, ok ride, and they act like a tuner.
