  1. Many are working off cases that are pending against them. Others are professional....well you fill in the word. For the professional many times it depends on the quality of the case, type of case etc.


  2. Like the first answer said, there's alot of things that it hinges on. They can get paid even if alot of the info is false, but that's another story. It's not unheard of for an informant to make over $5,000 on one case.
