How is a girl supposed to look pretty but still look smart?

I am really anxious to know..

I think that if a girl is pretty, she spends time on her appearance.

but if she is smart, she has her nose in a book or she is doing calculus and such.

What do you think?

lol, you can be pretty and smart, and not every smart girl exactly has to look like a right messbag. i think a girl looking pretty and being confident in herself is all a girl needs, this way she is happy enough to do anything, coming up to being smart, you should just wear abit of powder[pressed], touch of eyeshadow that suits your eyes best, a sweep of mascara and a nice glowing lipgloss, this is more than enough to show a girls special features. after that you can be as smart as you'll ever need to be.lol.

That's not true at all.  And being pretty and smart are two separate things.  You don't have to choose one or another.  Just because she's ugly doesn't necessarily mean she's smart and if she's pretty it doesn't necessarily mean she's a dumbass.  But I understand where you got that from.  d**n media.

You spend time on your looks, and you present yourself well.

Meaning wear makeup (but not too much), nails done, hair done, wear the right clothes, etc. But also read a lot, speak well, keep up on current events, study various subjects, etc.

Being pretty has to do with appearance and being smart has to do with your actions. If you truly are smart people will realize it very quickly (unless they aren't too bright themselves).
