My 15 month old son hasn't had chickenpox yet. My husband and I both have. My husband was around someone yesterday who had it, and he was saying that he would pass it on to our son if he was around him. Is that true?? I thought it was a direct contact thing...

  1. You are right.  It is a direct contact thing.

Also, if someone has not had the chickenpox they can get it from someone who recently has been vaccinated with the chickenpox vaccine.

It is better to get the chickenpox than to be vaccinated.  The vaccine is only a band-aid and does not create immunity as would actually having the chickenpox.
