How is climate different from weather?

Some say its the formation of clouds. but I highly disagree.

  1. climate is a long term average of weather like a month and weather is the current temperature


  2. weather is short term, for example, the weather in indianapolis today is partly cloudy and about 30 degrees.  

    climate is long term, for example, florida is a sub-tropical climate because it experiences high temperatures for most of the year with high amounts of precipitation.
