  1. They don't!  You win!

    Unless, of course the cc companies get the word that you got dead AND got it in time to worm their way into your estate, if any.


  2. If it is a joint account, the responsibility of the debt goes to the joint cardholder.  Otherwise, your estate, which pays the bills--if no estate, the company loses.   ***

  3. All your possessions and assets under your name get placed into the your debtor's receivership after you die. That includes any of your remaining possessions that you own privately, and those that you include in your will/testament that are of value.
