How is current affected by the type of conductor?

  1. If something is a good conductor, then current will flow through it easily.  If something is a poor conductor, current will flow slowly through it or not at all.  This is due to a high resistance in the substance. Resistance being measured in ohms.

    If you look at my first 2 sentences, they are actually both in the form of a hypothesis.

    You could set up an experiment using different types of conductors such as a piece of plastic and a piece of copper.  Form a hypothesis based on this saying something along the lines of: If current increases in a metal conductor, then the copper will have a high current flowing through it.  Or if current is influenced by the type of conductor, there will be a difference between plastic and copper.  You can set up an experiement like this using different conductors, a light bulb and a battery.
