How is dating in new york city?

i live on long island. i'm moving to the city in about two years once i'm done with college. i kind of want to leave everything behind me when i move. how is it dating in new york? i understand theres so many single dudes there, and will it be easy for me to make some new friends? since all my friends will be on the island.

I've been a New Yorker all my life...and dated different types - and you'll be surprised to find that many of the people here - are just like YOU! They're not New Yorkers and they're trying to find people to hook up with as well. Keep your friends on the island, but understand that sometimes you'll have a different pace/lifestyle as the guys here.

There are so many types of guys to date in the city - different ethnicities, religions, races, ect., but you'll have your share of disappointments.

I dated city guys for two years but then found that the only guys that treated me right lived in Long Island and New Jersey. It all depends on your personality. Happy Hunting when you get here!
