  1. Oysters have thick shells that are textured like the rocks around them. Some kinds, like the mussel, cling to rocks to protect themselves from waves. Some squid, like octopuses, can change color and camoflauge very well. Their awesome speed also is a great adaptation so that they can swiftly swim from enemies.
