What machine or thing or power source generates Electricity? Don't say power surge or something (haha). Please make it easy to understand and name all the main ones of there are like 100 or something. I'm in Gr. 6 by the way. Please don't give me a link unless you think I would understand their text. I'm pretty smart though.

Thanks!

  1. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electricity... has what you want.

If you want info on Canada's nuclear industry http://www.nuclearfaq.ca/ is the place to get it.

  2. Each province is responsible for producing its own electricity.

Electricity is generated by hydropower in Br. Columbia, and Québec.  Ontario uses nuclear plants.  Alberta produces electricity with coal and natural gas. Manitoba Hydro has 14 hydroelectric generating stations.

Most of the provinces  use a mix of hydro, nuclear, and fossil energy.

For each province, you have to research the methods of generating electricity.
