  1. Friendly people, not as much pressure on you, wages are about a third better, pubs better fun,no loud mouths running annoying people and i lived in both countries so i know

  2. Any time I see pictures or movies of things about Britain or Ireland, all I see is green. To me, Ireland would be even nicer, because the one letdown I read about, regarding Britain, is it houses London, a fine city in an area with the least rain, but the biggest city in Europe at the moment, and London's ecological footprint, at the moment, requires land BIGGER than the isle of Britain, yet they still want to expand Heathrow Airport and build more nukes, etc.. Ecological excess to me is just a complete turn off..

Ireland may or may not have a better record, but at least it has less people. They still have still less population than before the potato blight... In other words, if I went there, I'd choose to live on Ireland, if I could but do anything fruitful there, besides live like a tourist and spend more than I earn. Artists, apparently, can live tax-free in Ireland, or at least I used to know that. It may not be true anymore.

  3. Irish people are the salt of the earth.   I have made two visits there in the last year, the folk are cheerful, kind and wholly hospitable.   They take time to answer your questions, they go out of their way to help you solve your problems.   B&B are superb and very reasonable in price, the Hotels are amongst the best in Europe.   Compare that to England where everything is dirty and nothing works.  The recent floods are an example, where most of the problems were caused by badly maintained or out of date drains.   I could go on.

  4. It's brrrilliant! Well, it depends on what part of the country you are in. I don't like Dublin very much - it's filthy, and it could be any European city as there are  more foreign nationals there than Irish.  Everywhere else is a lot more laid back, and the pace of life is a lot slower. It's great! I love Ireland!
